No, we don't need any documentation before our call. However to provide you with an accurate borrowing capacity assessment, please be prepared with details regarding your income, existing debts and current savings balance.

Will any credit checks be completed?

No. The session is simply a conversation to give you clarity and direction.

A credit enquiry only occurs if a loan application is submitted to the bank. Everything that happens before that has absolutely no impact to your credit report.

I think I have a bad credit score / credit report. Should I bother booking a session?

Absolutely. We can help you even if you're credit impaired. Depending on the level of credit impairment, we may be able to mitigate your circumstances with an explanation to the bank. If it is more serious than that, we have industry connections and can put you in touch with professional credit repairers.

I've never had any type of loan before, can I still buy a house?

Almost every first-home buyer we help has never had a loan before, it's completely normal.
Lenders don’t require you to have previous loan history - they simply assess your income, deposit, and ability to afford the repayments.

How can we do the session - phone call or video call?

If I don't have to pay for your services, how do you get compensated?

Our services are 100% free to our clients.

We are paid an upfront and trailing commission by the lender once your loan settles. Pretty much every lender pays the same rate, so we're not incentivised to choose one over the other.

Also, if you refinance to another bank or sell your property within the first 24 months, we are required to repay our commissions. This is called "clawback" and is another reason why it makes no commercial sense for us to recommend you an unsuitable loan product.
